Lists¶
Creating a list¶
Tap New list on the home screen. A list starts in one of two ways:
Choose a Country, then search for the shop. TidyShop names the list after the shop and uses its logo as the list's icon. You can still change the name.
Shops are currently included for the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and France, from supermarkets to DIY and electronics stores. Is your shop missing? Ask for it.
Give the list any name, such as Party, Pharmacy or Weekly groceries, and choose an icon. The icon picker has two tabs: General icons and Stores logos.
Then pick the List type:

| Family | Synced through your family server and shareable with the household. Shows Set up first until this phone has joined a family. |
The home screen¶
Your lists are grouped into Personal lists and Family lists, and within each group by the country of their shop, with anything else under Other lists. Tap a group heading to fold it away. You can hide a whole group from Home under Settings → Home screen.
Each list card shows how much is left to buy.
- Search: Find a list filters your lists by name.
- Swipe a list card left to reveal quick actions: All done (tick off everything) or Unmark, Edit, and Delete.
Sorting lists¶
Use Sort by on the home screen:

| Updated | Most recently changed first. Tap it again for oldest first. |
| Custom | Your own order. Press and hold a list, then drag it up or down. |
Inside a list¶
- Swipe left or right anywhere on the list to jump to the next or previous list, without going back to Home.
- Items still to buy are under To buy. Ticked items move to Completed, where Clear removes them.
- Lists you own show a share button. See Sharing.
The list menu¶
The menu at the top of a list holds:

| Mute notifications / Unmute notifications | Stop or restart notifications for this list only. See Notifications. |
| Mark all as done / Unmark all items | Tick off, or un-tick, every item. |
| Clear checked items | Remove everything under Completed. |
| Clear all suggestions | Forget what TidyShop has learned for this list. This can't be undone. |
| Delete list | Remove the list and its items from this phone. |
Deleting a family list
Deleting a family list you own removes it from the family server and from every phone it's shared with. Only the owner can do that. If a list someone else owns should disappear from your phone, ask them to stop sharing it with you.
